OAKLAND — Firefighters freed a person Thursday morning who had been trapped under a train at the MacArthur BART station, officials said.
The extent of the person’s injuries, if any, were not immediately known.
Officials have not said if the person was a man or woman or how they came to be trapped under the train.
The incident was reported about 9:43 a.m. and the person removed about 9:52 a.m. officials said.
Power to the tracks was cut while firefighters worked to free the person.
The station was closed and people were being advised to take alternate transportation.
